President Emomali Rahmon, who is Head of the Government of Tajikistan, has introduced a number of staff changes to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
By government’s regulation issued on January 5 Nasreddin Ismatullo, who had previously served as Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan and concurrently to Bangladesh, was appointed the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
By another government’s regulation that was also issued on January 5 Farrukh Sharifzoda, formerly Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan, was appointed the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Tajik MFA’s leadership consists of the minister and first deputy minister and four deputy ministers.

It carries out its activities in cooperation with other central executive bodies, local government bodies, legal entities. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan has the status of a legal entity, its own seal, stamps, and bank accounts.
