DUSHANBE, July 24, Asia-Plus – On Saturday July 22, Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov received top managers of two Turkish companies to discuss the construction of a new five-star hotel in Dushanbe.

According to information from the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the talks of Rahmonov with Mr. Mustafa Ozjan, the president of Ozgun Insaat, and Mr. Fettah Taminje, the president of “Rixos Hotels”, focused on the construction of a five-star hotel in the center of Dushanbe, on the place of Printing-House No.1, opposite the being constructed residential complex “Poitakht-80”.    

            On the same day, visiting top managers of the two Turkish companies also met with

’s Prime Minster Oqil Oqilov and Economy and Trade Minister Hakim Soliyev.  The same issues figured in their discussion with Tajik officials.  During these talks, the Turkish side submitted the preliminary project for the construction of the hotel in


Dushanbe


.  “According to the preliminary schemes, it will be a seven-storied building with 300 rooms and business-center,” the source said, adding that the sides also considered the possibility of management of that hotel by “Rixos Hotels”.  

“All these issues are being discussed in

as well, and final decision will be known in near future,” the Asia-Plus interlocutor said.  

At present four five-star hotels are being constructed in


Dushanbe


, and


Turkey


is taking part in the construction of three of them.

since last year.  At present it is constructing a

Center


“Vefa” in the center of


Dushanbe


.  US$8.5 million has been provided for the construction of this center, which is supposed to be finished in the follow of the year.
