On Monday December 27, Tajikistan Ambassador to Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda met in Tashkent with Uzbekistan Minister of Water Resources Shavkat Hamrayev.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the two discussed the bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in the field of rational use of water resources.
The Uzbek minister reportedly noted that this year has been considered one of the dry years in the region, but thanks to the friendship between the two states these difficulties were easily overcome and farmers were provided with water.
Rahmonzoda and Hamrayev also discussed priorities of further expansion of friendly cooperation between the two countries.
The parties emphasized the importance of jointly carrying out cultural activities, the Tajik MFA information department says.
