so far, Ms. Shahnoza Nodirova, the deputy head of the State Committee for Management of State-owned Property, announced at a roundtable meeting in
Dushanbe
on June 22.
Tajikistan’s State Committee for Management of State-owned Property hosted the roundtable meeting to discuss issues related to a rational use of state-owned properties, putting of them on lease, etc.
According to Ms. Nodirova, those 300 agreements have been concluded with state-run enterprises by physical and juridical entities. “Under such an agreement leaser pledges himself to observe all terms of the agreement and pay rent that comes to the national budget, and rationally use the leased facility,” said Ms. Nodirova, “However, there are problems that raise for different reasons; one the main problems is inopportune payment of rent.”
An amount of rent depends on a state of the rented facility, its size and location, according to her. “Thus, a rate of rent payments for premises located in the center of Dushanbe fluctuates from US$10.00 to US$15.00 per one square meter,” Shahnoza Nodirova said.
Besides, according to her, some enterprises lease the state-owned properties at too high rates.
During the meeting it was also noted that the majority of state-run enterprises did not state all properties being in their disposal in the registration documents that caused a serious damage to the national budget.
Participants at the meeting also pointed to the necessity of reviewing principles and priorities in the field of management of the state-owned properties, and tightening state control and regulation in the state-run sector of economy.
