DUSHANBE, June 21, Asia-Plus — Police have identified persons, who were involved in three blasts that shook Dushanbe during the night of June 15-16.   

According to information from the Interior Ministry, their names and details of the investigation conducted by the Security Ministry directorate for Dushanbe will be stated at a news conference that will be held in the police directorate for the Ismoili Somoni district in Dushanbe today afternoon. 

We will recall that three explosions blasts occurred in Tajik capital during the night of June 15-16, after midnight. Tajik law enforcement authorities have disavowed a terrorist ling to the blasts and described them as the work of a group of adolescents.  

According to Khudoynazar Asoyev, a chief spokesman for the Interior Ministry, the preliminary investigation has suggested that three separate explosions in Dushanbe during the night of June 15-16 were the work of a group of teenagers,

The first blast occurred around 00:30 a.m., at the crossroad of Bokhtar and Tehron Streets, near the Iranian Cultural Center.  The blast was sufficiently powerful that it blew out the windows of nearby buildings.  The second blast took place several minutes later on the Pushkin Street, outside the building of the Charitable Foundation run by Abdullo Nuri, the leader of Tajikistan’s Islamic Revival Party (IRPT.  The blast blew out windows of the building.  The third blast took place near the being constructed Business Center “Vefa-Center” on the Bokhtar Street in the center of Dushanbe June 16 at about 8:20 a.m.  No injuries have been reported in those blasts.
