According to information from the Russian Embassy in


Dushanbe


, the first meeting of the commission was held on June 1.  Representatives from


Tajikistan


’s ministries of foreign affairs, economy, agriculture, state revenues and tax collections, air carrier as well as representatives from the Russian embassy and trade representative office in


Dushanbe


attended the meeting.  The meeting discussed issues related to organization of supply of fruits and vegetables to the


Russian Federation


.  Participants at the meeting noted to the necessity of organizing sustained channels of supply of Tajik farm produce to the Russian regions directly.  

As it had been reported earlier,

last month already sent 300 tons of onions to


Bratsk


,


Irkutsk


, Orienburg, and


Orsk


, as well as 120 tons of apricots to


Moscow


and 115,000 cans of tinned fruits to


Omsk
