Another attack by scammers: This time Amonatbonk has been hit

Date:

Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank) has warned Tajik citizens about scams involving bank cards.  The warning was posted on social media, and the bank also sent SMS alerts to its clients.

The bank published the phone numbers used for fraudulent calls and urged customers to exercise caution and avoid disclosing personal or card information to outsiders.

According to the post, scammers have been calling Amonatbonk customers, posing as bank employees and claiming that their cards are “expiring” or need to be “verified,” asking for card numbers and PIN codes.

“Do not trust false messages about card updates and do not share your details with anyone,” warns Amonatbonk.

“If you encounter scammers posing as Amonatbonk employees, you can contact the bank via the short number 1885,” the financial institution stated.

Earlier, Tajik authorities warned citizens to exercise caution regarding fraudulent messages. However, there have been no reports of arrests related to these schemes so far.
