In a report released at a news conference in Dushanbe, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ramazon Rahimzoda stated on February 13 that Tajikistan registered 665 crimes committed by minors (compared to 555 in 2023) and 3,194 crimes committed by young people (compared to 3,020 in 2023).  

According to him, 28,236 administrative offense cases (compared to 13,991 in 2023) have been filed against parents who failed to fulfill their responsibilities in educating and raising their children, as well as against officials of educational institutions.

All cases have reportedly moved to city and district courts for legal action.

The minister also reported that 1,228 violations of the law on the regulation of traditions were recorded (compared to 533 in 2023), resulting in administrative offense cases being filed.

Rahimzoda noted that in 2024, a total of 1,233 traffic accidents occurred (compared to 1,111 in 2023), leading to 552 fatalities (compared to 519 in 2023) and 1,353 injuries.

Additionally, in the past year, 1,175 fires were recorded across the country (compared to 1,269 in 2023), resulting in 17 fatalities (compared to 23 in 2023), including 11 minors.  The total damage from the fires amounted to 43,822,000 somonis.
