At the international exhibition Iran Expo 2025, held in Tehran, the creation of an industrial park in Tajikistan with Iranian investments and technologies was discussed, the press center of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Industry and New Technologies (MoINT) says.

Negotiations on this project were reportedly held between the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan, Sherali Kabir, and the First Vice President of Iran, Ali Najafi Khoshroudi.

The parties emphasized the importance of developing industrial cooperation and strengthening bilateral and regional economic ties.  Iranian companies were invited to participate in investment projects aimed at expanding Tajikistan’s production capacity.

During the visit, the Tajik delegation also visited Iran’s Innovation and Technology Center.  MoINT representatives got acquainted with the latest Iranian developments in high technologies.

During the visit, the Tajik side reportedly informed their Iranian counterparts about the vast opportunities for cooperation in the field of innovation, highlighting the recent opening of the Innovation and Digitalization Center in Dushanbe, which could potentially facilitate joint work.

Additionally, the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan, Sherali Kabir, held a meeting with Mobarakeh Steel Company CEO, Saeed Zarandi.

The parties reportedly discussed prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the steel industry, including issues related to the export and import of metal products.

The leadership of the Iranian company was invited to visit industrial facilities in Tajikistan.

Mobarakeh Steel Company (Foolad Mobarakeh) is a private Iranian steel company, located 65 km south west of Esfahan, near the city of Mobarakeh, Efahan Province.  It is the largest steel maker of MENA (Middle East & Northern Africa) region, and one of the largest industrial complexes operating in Iran. It was commissioned after the Iranian Revolution in 1979 and initiated operations during 1993. 

Iran Expo 2025 is an exhibition that showcases the export goods of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This year, It is held for the seventh time.  The exhibition opened at the International Exhibition Center in Tehran on April 28 and runs through May 2.
