The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), in partnership with “Robot League Tajikistan”, has launched a nationwide educational robotics camp under the slogan “Robotics in Every School”.  The initiative aims to promote technological innovation and integrate robotics education into Tajikistan’s school system.

The five-day camp brought together from across various regions of Tajikistan.  Participants received hands-on training in robotics and computer programming, equipping both students and educators with practical skills for the classroom and beyond.

Students were introduced to core principles of robotics, robot design and assembly, and coding and programming robots

At the conclusion of the camp, three winning teams in a friendly inter-school robotics competition were awarded robotics kits to further develop their projects.

To support long-term impact, each participating school received robotics kits and laptops, enabling them to continue training programs locally and expand access to robotics education among more students.

“Robotics is a multidisciplinary field that combines mechanics, physics, automation, and computer engineering. Among these young learners are the future engineers and programmers of Tajikistan,” said Umut Acar, Turkish Ambassador to Tajikistan.

Hakim Ismoilzoda, First Deputy Director of Tajikistan’s Agency for Innovation and Digital Technology, added: “These camps help young people grow into future tech leaders, enhancing creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.”

The robotics camp — the first of its kind on a national level with participants from all corners of Tajikistan — represents a key effort to boost youth interest in innovation and STEM education.  It also supports national goals for advancing digital literacy and preparing the next generation of engineers and tech professionals.

The certification ceremony following the camp was attended by officials from TIKA, the Ministry of Education and Science, and other partner institutions.
