In Tajikistan, a special welding robot began to be used in the construction of the Rogun hydroelectric power plant. It helps to carry out work faster, more accurately and more safely, reducing the burden on people, according to the telegram channel of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the republic.
The use of modern equipment makes it possible to speed up the process of performing engineering and construction operations, to make them more efficient and safe. According to experts, the introduction of such technologies is an important step towards applying world experience in the construction of the largest energy facility in the region.
The welding robot is capable of performing a wide range of metal operations, ensuring high strength and precision of joints. In addition, its use reduces risks for workers, since the most dangerous areas of work are now performed by machinery.
This decision corresponds to the course of modernization of construction processes at the Rogun HPP and the introduction of technologies that are used at the largest energy facilities in the world, the Ministry of Energy noted.
Despite the introduction of innovative equipment, the need for qualified specialists remains. As of August 2025, the personnel department of JSC Rogun HPP continues to offer construction vacancies.
