Over 2.5 million Tajik citizens visited Uzbekistan in the first 11 months of 2025, making Tajikistan one of the leading sources of international tourism for its neighboring country.

According to the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, from January to November 2025, a total of 10.7 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan, marking a 47.4% increase compared to the same period last year. The largest influx of tourists came from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.

The top five countries by tourist numbers in Uzbekistan are led by Kyrgyzstan with 3 million visitors, followed by Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, each contributing 2.5 million tourists. Russia ranks fourth with 923,800 visitors, while Afghanistan rounds out the top five with 429,400 tourists.

Data for the first nine months of 2025 reveals that around 835,800 Uzbek tourists visited Tajikistan. Experts predict that the current growth in tourist traffic will drive the expansion of tourism services, infrastructure development, and improvements in the quality of tourist services in both countries.
