DUSHANBE, February 10, Asia-Plus  — In near future, some 20 new parks and public gardens will be laid out in Dushanbe, Bahrom Mahmadaliyev, head of the Dushanbe committee for environment protection, said.

According to him, at present they are preparing sites for laying out three parks in Shohmansur district, three parks in Firdavsi district, five in Sino district and 4 parks in Ismoili Somoni district.

“Besides a number of institutes decide to lay out parks around their compounds,” Mr. Mahmadaliyev said, adding that depending on landscape of the territory, pine trees, chestnut-trees or oaks will be planted.

“We will purchase seedlings at local nurseries,” head of the Dushanbe committee for environment protection said, noting that agency for forestry alone has prepared more than 420,000 seedlings for planting at the rate of 1-6 Somonis per one seedling.
