, February 10, Asia-Plus – The 31-year-old resident of Dushanbe Sergey Safkin was arrested yesterday on suspicion of having killed his mother, according to information fro the Ministry of Interior.

According to the source in the Ministry of Interior, the preliminary investigation has established that on February 2, Sergey Safkin being in a state of intoxication beat his mother, 52-year-old Tatiana Safkina, to death and secretly buried her body.  

The source says Sergey Safkin had previously been convicted of acquisition, storage, and use of drugs.  .

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Safkin, and investigation is under way.
