, March 3, Asia-Plus – A one-day scientific conference formally titled “Role of Women in Development of Science and Culture” dedicated to International Women’s Day opened in the building of the
Institute
of
Oriental Studies
and Written Heritage in
Dushanbe
today.
The conference aims to consider development of science and culture in the Central Asian region and a role of women in this process.
Academician Mamadsho Ilolov, President of Tajikistan’s National Academy of Sciences, Jurabek Nazriyev, Director of the
Institute
of
Oriental Studies
and Written Heritage, as well as heads diplomatic missions of
Afghanistan
,
India
and
Iran
delivered statements at the conference.
An exposition of works of Tajik female painters has been organized in the building of the
Institute
of
Oriental Studies
and Written Heritage on sidelines of the conference.
The conference was staged by
Tajikistan
’s Center for Scientists’ Collaboration jointly with the Iranian Embassy in
Dushanbe
.
