DUSHANBE, March 6, Asia-Plus – The known Tajik folk singer, National Artist of Tajikistan Abdullo Nazri died in Dushanbe Saturday [March 4], aged 76 after a short illness.

yesterday, March 5.  Representatives from the Tajik government, friends and admirers of talent of Abdullo Nazri attended the funeral ceremony.   

More than 200 songs performed by Abdullo Nazri are kept in the stock of

’s State Radio.  

Besides, Abdullo Nazri was author and producer of a number of dancing suites such as “Biyo Yoram”, “Shash Zarb”, “Murghi Sahar”, “Taronahi Mehnat”, etc.  

For his contributions to development of Tajik musical arts Abdullo Nazri was awarded a number of orders and medals.
