On this occasion, President Emomali Rahmonov presided over a meeting of the Public Council yesterday.  

According to presidential press service, the meeting focused on the results of work carried out by the Council over the past decade as well as admission of new members to the Council.

            The Public Accord Agreement was first signed by pro-government political organizations in 1996 during the civil war to support President Emomali Rahmonov, and now many political parties and public associations became parties to it.   The Public Accord Agreement is extended indefinitely for a further three-year period.
