DUSHANBE, March 3, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) has set up a republican commission for organizing and carrying out the spring sowing campaign in the country.  A decision on this subject was made by Agriculture Minister Qosim Qosimov at the end of the last week.  The minister has headed the commission himself.  

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Narzullo Dadaboyev, a spokesman for a MoA, said that the decision also obligated regional and district agriculture directorates, agrarian enterprises and the ministry sub-divisions to organize and carry out the spring sowing campaign in good time.

Besides, the MoA crop sector department jointly with the Institute for Crop Farming and Gardening and other sub-divisions of the ministry it to take measures to provide farmers with seeds, fertilizers and pesticides for the spring sowing campaign, the spokesman said.
