KHUJAND, March 3, 2009, Asia-Plus — Tajik and Kyrgyz security council secretaries heading government delegations have met in Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province today to discuss a broad range of issues related to cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in different fields.
The Tajik delegation members include the Security Council Secretary Amirqul Azimov, land Reclamation and Water Resources Minister Said Yoqubaod, high-ranking officers from law enforcement and security services, senior experts from the Agency for Geodesy and Cartography, as well as the Sughd governor Qohir Rasoulzoda.
The Kyrgyz delegation consists of the Security Council Secretary Adakhan Madumorav, Border Service chief Zamirbek Moldoshev, Batken governor Muratbek Jumabekov, as well as high-ranking officers from the border service, special services and the Batken police directorate.
The meeting is expected to result in signing of a number of appropriate documents.
