DUSHANBE, March 3, 2009, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon yesterday presided over a meeting to review the country’s economic results in January-February 2009, according to presidential press service.
The meeting participants included prime minister, presidential state advisers and heads of a number of ministries and departments. They reported on the current socioeconomic situation in the country, activities of banks and industrial enterprises over the report period, the course of construction of small and medium-sized power plants in the country, as well as preparations for the spring sowing campaign.
Speaking at the meeting, the president called for celebration of the Navrouz holiday without superfluous costs.
