DUSHANBE, October 8, 2010, Asia-Plus — Over the first nine months of this year, Tajikistan’s dairy and meat industry has produced a total of more than 15.632 million somoni worth of goods, which is 3.738 million somoni, or 31.5 percent, more than in the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI).

Over the report period, enterprises of the country’s dairy and meat industry have increased production of meat and meat products, milk products, vegetable oil and canned foods, the source at a MoEI said.

According to him, production of milk products rose 22.2 percent in nine months to October 1, 2010, reaching 11.741 million somoni.
