DUSHANBE, October 4, 2010, Asia-Plus  — KPMG Audit LLC has won the tender for conducting audit at the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), according to the NBT.

Eight companies participated in the tender for audit of Tajik central bank’s activity in 2010.  Among them were companies from Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Armenia, and KMPG Audit LLC (Kazakhstan) was selected to conduct audit at NBT, the source said.

We will recall that NBT announced a tender for audit of its financial activities in 2010 in August and the audit companies having not less than 5-year experience in conducting audit at central banks were invited to take part in the tender.

The audit company will examine the NBT financial statements for 2010.  The audit will include examination of proper execution of financial statements as well as determination of compliance of the NBT’s accounting with International Accounting Standard (IAS), the source said.

It is to be noted that KPMG Audit LLC conducted audit of Tajik central bank’s financial activities for 2009.
