DUSHANBE, February 23, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered an agreement between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan on national border at a February 23 meeting presided over by its speaker, Saydullo Khairulloyev.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered a draft agreement on moratorium on inspection of small and medium-sized enterprises, a draft resolution of the Majlisi Namoyandagon on election of Amir Katayev as member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Energy, Industry and Construction, as well as a draft constitutional law on amendments to the parliamentary election law.

Some of these issues will be considered at a sitting of the fifth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the third convocation on February 25, Sultonov said.
