KHUJAND, July 8, 2010, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmon has begun his working trip to Sughd with trip to Kuhistoni Mastchoh district.
According to the Sughd administration, during his stay in Kuhistoni Mastchoh, Rahmon has visited the Farm named after Kholmahmad Shoyev and the Farm named after Sharif Hasanov. Both these farming units are engaged in potato and grain growing.
President Rahmon has also visited the small power plant, Langar, in the district. The construction of this 55kW power plant was launched in May 2008 and it was finished in November 2009. The Langar station now generates 17 kW of electricity per hour. Over the first six months of this year, the station has generated 73,000 kWh of electricity that has been consumed by 53 households in the village of Langar.
