DUSHANBE, July 8, 2010, Asia-Plus  — A fire that broke out overnight in one of apartment buildings in Dushanbe’s neighborhood 104 killed one person and injured three others, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

The source at a MoI says the fire caused by an electric malfunction broke out in the apartment of the Safolov family late in the night when all of them were sleeping.

”As a result of the fire, four persons, including 20-year-old Fakhriddin Safolov, 24-year-old Sayora Safolova, 25-year-old Sitora Safolova and 17-year-old Shirin Sharifov who was on a visit to them, sustained serious burn injuries and were hospitalized.  Fakhriddin Safolov died a few hours later in hospital.”

According to the statistics from the Ministry of Interior, 259 fires have been registered in the country since the beginning of the year.  Four persons have been killed and 17 others have been injured by those fires.
