Dushanbe. June 14. “Asia-Plus” — In the course of his trip to Kulob region of Khatlon area Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon checked the ongoing rehabilitation works on elimination of consequences of natural disaster which hit Khatlon area in May this year.
According to President’s press service, Tajikistan President Rahmon started his official trip from Sarichashma jamoat of Shurobod region where he talked to local villagers and checked the ongoing construction of 13 houses for disaster affected citizens of the jamoat.
“Head of state ordered responsible departments to resettle villagers whose houses located in mudslide prone areas to safe places and build education and health care institutes and install new electric power lines and water supply system,” the source said.
According to the source, Tajik President also visited Tutu Jamoat of Muminobod region which was severely damaged by natural disasters.
“In the course of his talk with disaster affected victims it was stressed that 10 disaster affected families will get new houses equipped with essential items, 250 families will receive land plots for construction of new houses and 39 families whose houses were partially destroyed will be provided with construction materials. All disaster affected victims will receive one-time financial assistance,” press service has said.
According to the source, a new secondary school for 320 pupils and a medical point will be erected in this jamoat.
Following his trip to Muminobod President arrived in Kulob and checked the ongoing construction of 600 houses for disaster affected victims.
“Emomali Rahmon urged all constructors who arrived in Kulob from Sughd, Khatlon, Dushanbe, RRS, ministries and departments to fair labor and qualitative work,” the source said.
Head of state handed keys to new houses to three families. These houses were erected in short-terms by constructors from Hissar and Sughd areas. President Rahmon also said that construction of all houses should be completed by 25 August.
At least 3000 constructors are involved in construction of houses and social facilities in Kulob. Hals of these amount are constructors from the given region.
“Despite the fact that many people engaged in construction of new houses for themselves, they are being paid salary,” press service reported.
The source also said that during his trip to Kulob head of state laid foundation stone for a new secondary school for 1200 pupils and stressed that the construction should finish by September this year.
Tajikistan President will continue his working trip to Kulob today.
