DUSHANBE, April 12, 2010, Asia-Plus  — A ceremony of handover of the Russian humanitarian aid to Tajikistan through the UN WFP CO in Tajikistan will take place in Dushanbe on April 15, according to the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe.

It is the first consignment of humanitarian aid made by Russia this year as a voluntary contribution to the WFP stock, the source said.

The aid includes 3,839 tons of wheat flour and the aid-handover ceremony will be attended by the Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Yuri Popov, the WFP Country Director in Tajikistan Alzira Ferreira and representatives from Tajikistan’s ministries and departments.
