The presentation of “The Manifesto of Cyrus the Great” and the book by Ukrainian orientalist and writer Oleksandr Shokalo “Ukrainians and Tajiks: Cultural Commonalities” took place in Kyiv.
According to the Embassy of Tajikistan in Kiyv, the event took place on May 15 with the participation of representatives from the Embassy, the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine named after Hennadiy Udovenko, the Ukrainian-Tajik Society of Ahatanhel Krymsky, and the editorial staff of Ukrainian World magazine
The event was dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Ukraine.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, foreign diplomats, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, rectors and professors of universities, figures from science, culture, business, and representatives of the Tajik diaspora.
The Ambassador of Tajikistan to Ukraine, Davlatali Nazrizoda, highlighted the significance of “The Manifesto of Cyrus the Great” as one of the first declarations of human rights and emphasized the symbolic importance of the figure of Cyrus the Great for Tajikistan.

As part of the event, a documentary film “The Manifesto of Cyrus the Great – the First Ancient Declaration of Human Rights” was shown in Ukrainian and English.
The author of the book “Ukrainians and Tajiks: Cultural Commonalities,” Oleksandr Shokalo, pointed out the long-standing kinship of the cultural traditions of our peoples. Ukrainian orientalists, art historians, and literary critics, in turn, noted the important scientific and historical significance of this book.
