DUSHANBE, March 1, 2010, Asia-Plus  — This year’s parliamentary elections were much worse than those held in 2005, Rahmatillo Zoirov, the leader of the Social-Democratic Party (SDPT), said in an interview with Asia-Plus today.

According to him, the election campaign was held at a quite good level, while numerous violations, ranging from ballot papers filled up in advance to the account at the elections, were registered by the SDPT observers and supporters during the voting process.

“We will submit the list of violations registered by our observers and supporters to relevant bodies in the near future,” Zoirov said.
