The Russian company “Petromax” will employ citizens of Tajikistan

The representative office of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation reports that the Russian company Petromax is ready to offer permanent employment to citizens of the republic. The company will also provide housing for the workers.

A meeting was held between representatives of the ministry and the company on this matter. The parties discussed issues related to attracting Tajik citizens to work at the enterprise, protecting their rights, working conditions, and social guarantees.

According to the representative office, currently, more than 60 citizens of Tajikistan are working at the “Petromax” enterprise. The employer provides them with accommodation and also pays for their work patent monthly.

Acquired by the major Russian metallurgical and industrial group JSC Akron Holding in 2020, it reportedly operates a massive, European-standard facility dedicated to processing ferrous/non-ferrous scrap metal, end-of-life vehicles, and electronic waste.

The company’s main activity is “procurement, storage, processing and sale of scrap and waste of ferrous metals.”

In 2025, the average number of employees of JSC Petromax was 221 people. This is 2 people more than in 2024.
