Tajik companies participate in construction exhibition in Las Vegas, USA

DUSHANBE, February 10, 2010, Asia-Plus  — On February 1-5, 2010, a delegation of managers from Tajik construction companies attended the 35th World of Concrete Construction Exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, according to the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe.

Tajik businessmen attended the exhibition and met with dozens of U.S. and international companies around the globe to discuss business projects, equipment purchases, and new technology in the construction sector. Specific interest was expressed regarding testing and measurement equipment and concrete loading and processing.

The Economic Section of the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe jointly with the U.S. Department of Commerce plans to organize other International Buyer Programs, in other sectors, that will allow Tajik and U.S. businesses to promote their mutual interests.

Tajik businessmen had an opportunity to meet with over a thousand companies and talk about business potential with Tajikistan, including such companies as Proseq, Trimble, Humboldt, Schwing America Inc., Aftec, Volvo, Caterpillar, Bosch, and Instrom.

The chairman of the Association of Constructors of Tajikistan Mr. Faizali Rajabov and several other managers of companies, including Promstroy, Evrostandart, Talco Aluminum Sokhtmon, Avrocom and Techno Invest positively viewed the outcomes of the exhibition and highlighted new paths for business development in Tajikistan, including future infrastructure projects.
