US dollar rises against Tajik national currency

Dushanbe. December 10. Asia-Plus — Starting from December 8 the buying and selling rate of the US dollar rose in all Dushanbe exchange points reaching 4.41 and 4.43 Somoni for 1USD correspondingly.

On December 7 the buying rate of the US dollar in Dushanbe exchange stations was 4.35, while selling rate was 4.37 Somoni.

The raise in exchange rate of the US dollar against Somoni is closely connected with the rise of the US dollar against Russian ruble and Euro, press service of the Tajik National Bank told Asia-Plus.

According to the National Bank’s press service, the exchange rate of both Russian ruble and Euro has dropped in the past few days.

“Today’s buying and selling rate of 10 Russian rubles makes 1.43 and 1.44 Somoni correspondingly, while the buying and selling rate of 1 Euro makes 6.47 and 6.48 Somoni,” the source has said.

Two days ago the buying and selling rate of 10 Russian rubles made 1.47 and 1.48 Somoni, while Euro’s exchange rate made 6.47 and 6.52 correspondingly.

Meanwhile, the source stressed that the US dollar’s exchange rate at interbank and internal segments went up making 4.3654-4.3831 Somoni for 1 USD.

“Exchange rates of Euro and Russian ruble has dropped making 6.4788 Somoni for 1 Euro and 1.4367 Somoni for 10 Russian rubles,” the source added.
