DUSHANBE, December 9, Asia-Plus — The drug prevention department within the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption will be upgraded into the drug prevention directorate, the anticorruption agency director Fattoh Saidov said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
“The dug prevention department has carried out an active explanatory work among officials and the population on corruption and punishment for corruption-related crimes,” said Saidov, “Work of the department has been very successful and we have decided to upgrade it into the corruption prevention directorate”
After that, the drug prevention departments will be established at the anticorruption directorate in the provinces, he added. “The crime prevention departments in the provinces will carry out explanatory work among local officials and residents,” the anticorruption agency chief said.
According to him, the crime prevention directorate will be established within the next few days after the president signs decree on making changes to the structure of the anticorruption agency.
