KULOB, December 8, Asia-Plus  — In the city of Kulob, where electricity rationing has not yet been introduced officially, the supply of daily electricity has been reduced to nine hours: three hours of electricity in the morning (from 5:00 am to 8:00 am), one hour in the afternoon and five hours in the evening (from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm).

In rural areas of Khatlon’s Kulob zone, residential customers now have electricity only 1.5-3 hours per day.

At local enterprises and organizations, the power supply situation is even worse.  According to employees of some enterprises in Kulob, electricity supplies are disrupted to them several times per day.

We will recall the electricity rationing was officially introduced in some regions of the country on November 10 after a major blackout that his central and southern parts of Tajikistan on November 9.

Under the schedule, Dushanbe and the regional capitals as well as district centers were supposed to be provided with electricity without limitations, while in rural areas, electricity was supposed to be available seven hours per day.
