DUSHANBE, December 3, 2009, Asia-Plus — Afghan national detained in the border area of the Farkhor district, Khatlon province on the night of December 1-2 with a large amount of narcotics, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
“The 19-year-old Afghan national Jumagul waladi Tarabiz (phonetically spelled) was detained near the village of Marghguzar and a sack containing 27 kilograms of marijuana was confiscated from him,” the MoI said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted on the drug charges and an investigation is under way.
