KHUJAND, August 12, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Ms. Tojinisso Ashourova, an employee with the registry office in Sughd’s Asht district was caught red-handed on August 10, when she was taking 200 somoni (TJS) from Ms. Chaman Topilova form the Qamishqurghon jamoat for issuing the birth certificate for her minor son Murod Zokirov, according to press service of the Sughd police directorate.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Ms. Ashourova under the provisions of Article 319, Part 1 of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – bribery.
