DUSHANBE, August 11, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Cooperation between the CIS states in the field of culture is the less problematic sphere in relations between the CIS member nations, Russian Deputy Minister of Culture, Mr. Aleksandr Golutva, told reporters in Dushanbe on August 11 following the 24th session of the CIS council for cultural cooperation.

“In this field, the process participants reach mutual understanding easier,” the Russian official said, noting that cultural cooperation between the countries has been developing successfully.

“Of course, we cannot do all we want because many things depend on financial opportunities of the participating states,” Golutva said.

According to him, the fund for cultural cooperation has been set up and this fund is an additional source of financing a part of programs.
