Старый сайтDUSHANBE, July 22, 2010, Asia-Plus — A woman from Khovaling district in the southern Khatlon province has beaten her 5-year-old stepdaughter to death, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The source at a MoI says the tragedy has taken place in the village of Chuqurak. “The 32-year-old Zulkhumor Abdualimova severely beat her 5-year-old stepdaughter Umeda; Umeda died on the spot,” he said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Abdualimova and an investigation is under way.
