DUSHANBE, January 16, 2009, Asia-Plus  — This year, the Catalytic Fund Grant Project plans to complete construction of nine general schools in Tajikistan in the frames of the second tranch, Asia-plus has learned at the education projects management unit.

During the first phase of the project, 300 educational facilities have been built and rehabilitated in 16 cities and districts of the country due to $9.2 million provided by the Catalytic Fund.

Besides, 360,000 copies of various textbooks and 5,125 copies of the collection of dictions for grades 5 to 6 are expected to be published by the school year 2009-2010.

“This year, we will also continue work on preparation of schools for introduction of the per capital financing system,” the source said.
