DUSHANBE, October 14, 2011, Asia-Plus  — The Moscow law enforcement authorities have launched an investigation into a mass fight between Tajik and Uzbek migrant workers that occurred in Moscow on the night of October 11-12 at around 11:30 pm.

The Tajik Embassy in Moscow says all details of the incident will be made public after the preliminary investigation.

The source says the fight between the two groups of guest workers from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan involved some 20 people.

Four persons, including two Tajik nationals – H. Zubaydulloyev, 27, and I. Qurbonov, 32, were wounded in the fight.  They sustained stab wounds and are currently undergoing treatment at one of Moscow hospitals.  “Physicians have assessed their health condition as satisfactory,” the source added.
