Shepherd in Roudaki district shoots his employer dead following dispute at a pasture 

According to the investigation, he shot his boss.

DUSHANBE, May 15, 2026 — Asia-Plus — A local shepherd in Roudaki district has been detained on suspicion of murdering his employer. According to the investigation, the 23-year-old man reportedly killed his boss with a hunting rifle.

The Interior Ministry’s official website reports that the incident occurred on the evening of May 10 at a pasture in the village of Esanboy.

“A conflict reportedly broke out between shepherd Yusufbek Isamuradov and 35-year-old Ilhomjon Rahmonov, a resident of Dushanbe’s Firdavsil, over the payment of wages. During the argument, the suspect allegedly shot Rahmonov with a smoothbore hunting rifle. He died at the scene from his injuries,” the ministry says.

It is noted that after this, the suspect, attempting to conceal the crime, buried the victim’s body at the pasture.

Yusufbek Isamuradov was detained. The Roudaki Prosecutor’s Office has instituted criminal proceedings against him under Article 104 of Tajikistan’s Criminal Code – murder.  This article provides for a punishment ranging from 8 years of imprisonment to life imprisonment.

The position of the detainee himself regarding the case is unknown.
