DUSHANBE, December 18, 2008, Asia-Plus  — The Ministry of Economic Development ad Trade (MoEDT) is working out the program for mitigation of effects of the global financial crisis.

The source at a MoEDT said that a special working group had been set up for working out the program.  The group, comprising specialists from the state institutions and researchers from the Academy of Sciences, has already conducted the survey of the present situation and is currently working on proposals to mitigate the global financial crisis effects.

“The program is expected to contain specific proposals on mitigating the crisis effects,” said the source, “They, in particular, suggest that to promote development of separate sectors of economy the country’s financial institutions should provide loans on favorable terms.”

Experts also point to the necessity of strengthening activities of farming units and ensuring further development of the energy sector in the country.

The source added that the government had already got acquainted with some proposals of this program.
