DUSHANBE, December 17, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev today signed resolution on purchase of another consignment of busses and trolleybuses for the city, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor said.

Under this resolution the Dushanbe passenger transport services are to conclude contracts with Russia’s companies Trolza-Market and Russikiye Avtobusy on purchase of 60 trolleybuses and 150 busses.

The city budget allocates 17,618,970 somoni (equivalent to 5.1 million US dollars) for purchase of the trolleybuses and 14,125,991 somoni (equivalent to 4.087 million US dollars) for purchase of buses PAZ-32054 and spare parts for them.

75 of the buses will run on diesel fuel and the remaining 75 will run on liquefied gas.

The buses and the trolleybuses are supposed to be delivered to Dushanbe at the beginning of the next year, the spokesman said.
