DUSHANBE, November 16, 2011, Asia-Plus — 39 countries of the world have provided more than US$83 million worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in January-October this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Over the report period, 370 tons of vegetable oil, 1,334 tons of wheat flour, US$62.8 million worth of medicines and medical equipment, US$1.7 million worth of footwear and clothing, as well as food products, electrical appliances and computers have been delivered to the country.

Among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from the United States – 73.1 percent, Russia – 5.8 percent, Denmark – 5.1 percent, China – 3.7 percent.
