DUSHANBE, December 16, 2011, Asia-Plus  — Outgoing British Ambassador to Tajikistan Trevor Charles Moore conferred here Thursday with Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev at the end of his tenure to Tajikistan.

Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the Majlisi Milli speaker, says that during the meeting, the two exchanged views on international labor migration and violation of rights and freedoms of migrants in many countries of the world.

“Mr. Trevor Moore noted that in pursuance of request made by Mr. Ubaidulloyev during a visit of Tajik parliamentary delegation to London last year, the British Government intends to consider draft agreements between the two countries on economic as well scientific and technical cooperation and on mutual protection of investments and avoidance of double taxation in early 2012,” Saidov said.

According to him, Ubaidulloyev expressed gratitude to British diplomat for his contribution to development of Tajik-British relations and wished him continued success in his further career.
