KULOB, December 12, 2008, Asia-Plus — In January-November this year, 1,141 new cases of tuberculosis have been detected in Khatlon’s Kulob region, which is 88 cases more than in the whole year of 2007, the Kulob head sanitary physician Said Davlatov said.
“This year, the new TB cases have been detected in all the ten districts of the region,” Davlatov said, noting that 440 new cases of TB have been detected in the city and the district of Kulob alone.
In the Hamadoni district, 144 new cases of TB have detected over the report period and 44 new cases of TB
have been detected in Shuroobod, according to Davlatov.
A noticeable increase in the number of TB patients has also been reported in Vose, Danghara, Farkhor and Temourmalik districts.
