DUSHANBE, December 5, 2008, Asia-Plus  — The CIS states have adopted new rules of identifying country of goods’ origin.

According to press service of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), such a decision was made at a meeting of the working group for preparation of new edition of the rules of identification of country of goods’ origin that was held in Moscow in late November.   

The deputy head of Tajik CCI, Odil Sangov, represented Tajikistan at the meeting.  The meeting participants also included representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.   

The meeting considered and coordinated all proposals made by the CIS states on the new edition of the country of goods’ origin identification rules, the press service said.
