The Government of Tajikistan submitted a series of amendments to the Law “On state budget for 2012” to the Lower Chamber of the Parliament.

In his interview to AP member of the Lower Chamber’s Finance and Budget Committee Ismoil Talbakov said that the amendments seek to exempt ‘Zernovaya compania’ Ltd from VAT and customs duties for import of new crop processing technologies. Lawmaker, however, failed to provide more details about the company and its foreign partner.

According to Talbakov, the Government also urges parliamentarians to use 15% of special funds which come into the budget from Tajik Foreign Ministry for their purposes. “However, it remains unclear how much will the budget loose if the amendments are approved,” he said.
