Inflation level in Tajikistan’s consumption sector in January-April this year made 1.9%, Tajik Statistical Agency reports.
According to the agency, in the reporting period prices for foodstuffs decreased by 1.3%. Prices for non-foodstuffs increased by 2.5% while fees for paid services increased by 14.6%.
Average monthly inflation in consumption sector made 0.5% (1.5% in the same period last year).
In April this year inflation made 0.7%. Prices for foodstuffs in April decreased by 0.6%, for non-foodstuffs and paid services increased by 0.8% and 5.6% respectively.
The Government plans to retain inflation this year at 10.5% level. In 2011 inflation made 9.3%.
