KHUJAND, November 19, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Construction of buildings with overall space of 8,700 square meters for the enterprise for deep processing of cotton fiber the settlement of Nov, the administrative center of Sughd’s Spitamen district is nearing completion, Asia-Plus has learned from Mirzoqodir Baqoyev, director of the limited liability company, Spitamentextile.  

According to him, equipment for the enterprise will be delivered from Italy in December.   “The enterprise has the capacity of processing 3,000 tons of cotton fiber per year,” the director said, noting that the enterprise would be introduced into operation in November 2009.   

He added that they also planned to launch a joint venture with one of European countries a joint venture for production of knitted garments.
